Gov. Buni, Tarmuwa Leaders, Elders Assess Condition of Mafa Attack Victims

Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, met with leaders and elders from Tarmuwa Local Government Area to assess the situation of the victims of the recent Mafa attack.

In a press release by Mamman Mohammed, Director General of Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, it was stated that the meeting, chaired by Gov. Buni, included the Chairman of Tarmuwa Local Government Council, Mohammed Musa Lamido, the Emir of Jajere, Mai Hamza Ibn Buba Mashio, along with political leaders and key stakeholders.

The discussions focused on the overall welfare of the displaced persons, including their health, sanitation, and other pressing needs. The infrastructure in the host communities was also reviewed, with an emphasis on identifying areas of improvement to better support the victims.

Governor Buni reiterated the government’s commitment to addressing the needs of the victims and ensuring they are provided with comfort and care before they are able to return to their communities.

Mohammed Musa Lamido, Chairman of the Tarmuwa Local Government Council, praised the state government for supplying the victims with essential needs.

Similarly, the Emir of Jajere, Mai Hamza Ibn Buba Mashio, expressed his appreciation for the government’s efforts in supporting the displaced persons.

Alhaji Mala Musty, Chairman of the Critical Stakeholders Forum, lauded Gov. Buni for his proactive engagement with the Chief of Defense Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, aimed at enhancing security in the region.

He also called for increased security measures in anticipation of the upcoming harvest season, as farmers prepare to return to their fields.
