MAUN Varsity President Commiserates With Ex-Minister Gwarzo Over Removal From Office

The President of
Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria(MAAUN),Prof.Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo,has commiserated with former Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo, over his recent removal from office.
A statement by the SSA Media to the former Minister,Adamu Abdullahi,said Prof.Gwarzo made the commiseration when he led the management and staff of the university on a visit to the former Minister at his Rijiyar Zaki residence in Kano.
He said they were at the Minister’s residence to commiserate with him over “the recent development.”
He hailed the former Minister for his positive representation of the people of Kano State while in office.
Prof.Gwarzo described the former Minister as a worthy Ambassador of Kano State whose facilitation of bringing 500 housing units project to the state remained commendable.
Responding, the former Minister thanked the delegation for the visit, and described Prof. Gwarzo as a progressive-minded person who puts development of generation above any other engagement.
He said the visit gave him more courage to be steadfast in championing the cause of the less privileged in the society with a view to bringing succour their lives.
Gwarzo then appealed to the management of MAAUN to expedite action on the establishment of Gwarzo campus of the institution.
He said the proposed Gwarzo campus of the university if actualized, would boost the admission of indigents of the area into the university.
