Obasanjo, Shettima, Atiku, Attend Kwankwaso Daughter’s Wedding In Kano

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Vice President Kashim Shettima on Saturday attended the Wedding Fatiha of the daughter of the National leader of the Kwankwasiyya political movement and former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso.

Kwankwaso,at the occasion, gave his daughter Dr Aishatu Kwankwaso’s hand in marriage to Fahad,the son of Katsina-based business mogul,Dahiru Mangal.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, also graced the occasion

The wedding fatiha which took place at the Palace of the Emir of Kano,was conducted by the Chief Imam of Kano,Prof.Sani Zahraddeen.

The sum of N1 million was paid as dowry by the groom,amid thunderous supplication to Allah(SWT).

The ceremony virtually brought Kano to a standstill with dignitaries from all over the country attending.

The personalities who also attended the wedding were former governor of Kaduna State, Ahmed Makarfi, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, former Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Abdul Ningi and Senator Adamu Aliero who is also a former Governor of Kebbi State.

The rest were former Governor Lucky Igbinedion of Edo State, Mahamud Shinkafi, former Governor of Zamfara State, Isah Yuguda, former Governor of Bauchi State, Victor Attah, former Governor of Akwa Ibom, and Chief Achike Udenwa, former Governor of Imo State.

Also present at the occasion were former Senator Dino Melaye and Major Hamza Al-Mustapha,the Chief Security Officer of late former Head of State,Gen.Sani Abacha.

A very significant novelty witnessed at the occasion was the arrival of former President Obasanjo wearing a red cap which is the symbol of the Kwankwasiyya political movement led by Sen.Rabiu Kwankwaso.

Kwankwaso has been known to be Chief Obasanjo’s political godson since the inception of the fourth Republic.
