Tinubu, Abbas, Governors, Senators, Ganduje, Others Grace Senator Barau’s Children’s Wedding
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Tajuddeen Abbas, several governors, senators, and other notable dignitaries attended the wedding fatiha of the children of Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau I. Jibrin.
The ceremony, held at the National Mosque, Abuja, followed the two raka’at Juma’at prayers. Senator Barau’s son, Jibrin Barau I. Jibrin (Abba), married Maryam Nasir Ado Bayero, the daughter of the Emir of Bichi. Similarly, his daughter, Aisha Barau I. Jibrin, married Engineer Abubakar, the son of Dr. Abdulmunaf Yunusa Sarina, President of the Azman Group of Companies.
President Tinubu played a significant role as both Wakil and Waliy to Senator Barau’s children, represented by the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the APC National Chairman, served as the Waliy for Maryam Nasir Ado Bayero. Senator Tanko Al-Makura, former Governor of Nasarawa State, was the Wakil for Engineer Abubakar. The Imam of the National Mosque, Professor Ibrahim Maqari, officiated the wedding.
The event drew a diverse group of top politicians, business moguls, and traditional and religious leaders from across the country. Among the governors present were:

Prominent aides to President Tinubu graced the occasion, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume; Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila; National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu; and Special Assistants to the President, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Masari and Abdulaziz Abdulaziz.
The occasion was a significant gathering of Nigeria’s political elite, underscoring the influence and respect commanded by Senator Barau.
