Kano’s 15th Emir Calls for Peace, Community Responsibility, Leadership Accountability
The 15th Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has called on the people of Kano State to embrace healthy living and foster love for one another, emphasizing that peace is the foundation of societal development.
This appeal came in the wake of recent instability in the Kano metropolitan area, where clashes among youths led to the loss of lives, injuries, and destruction of property.
Abubakar Balarabe Kofar Naisa, Chief Press Secretary to the 15th Emir disclosed this in a press statement issued to newsmen today.
Addressing the community, Bayero stressed the crucial role of religious leaders, urging Imams of Friday and daily prayers to continue educating the public on the importance of peace. He recommended incorporating such teachings into sermons at mosques, Islamic schools, weddings, and community gatherings.
He also appealed to parents to uphold their responsibilities by guiding their children away from negative behaviors, including drug abuse, gang violence, and theft. He highlighted the need for vigilance in protecting the moral and social values of the community.
Furthermore, the Bayero urged community leaders and authorities to prioritize the safety, health, and welfare of the people under their care. He also called for citizens to remain loyal and supportive of their leaders to foster unity and progress across Kano State.
Concluding his message, the 15th Emir prayed for God to grant leaders at all levels the wisdom and justice needed to serve with integrity and accountability.
