ADSI, Jigawa Govt Empower 200 Micro-Entrepreneurs

The Arewa Support Development Initiative (ADSI), in collaboration with the Jigawa State Youth Empowerment and Development Agency, has empowered 200 micro-entrepreneurs in the state.
Speaking during a one-day training held at the Main Library, Federal University Dutse, Comrade Hashim A. Hashim, Special Assistant to the Governor on Information Technology and ADSI Coordinator, explained that the participants were selected from Gumel and Dutse Local Government Areas. The training focused on improving their businesses through the use of modern technology.
“The training aims to build the capacity of 200 micro-entrepreneurs, transforming small-scale businesses for sustainable growth and development,” Hashim stated.
He added that the Jigawa State Government supported the initiative by providing additional funding, scaling up the impact by 300 percent.
In his remarks, Hashim highlighted the state government’s commitment under the leadership of Governor Malam Umar Namadi to empowering youth through various programs, trainings, and interventions aimed at fostering financial independence and self-reliance.
“Within the past one and a half years, the present administration has positively impacted over 219,000 youths through different empowerment initiatives,” he said.
Hashim urged the beneficiaries to make the most of the skills and grants provided, ensuring they contribute meaningfully to their businesses and the state’s economic development.
