Kano Information Commissioner Pledges To Modernise Information Dissemination

Kano State Commissioner of Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Wayya, has pledged to provide working materials to information officers in the 44 local government areas of the state to enhance their operations.

This, Wayya said, is aimed at modernizing information dissemination across the state.

A statement issued by Comrade Abdussamad Umar,Information Technology and Media Publicity,on behalf of the commissioner,said
he made the pledge while interfacing with information officers from the 44 local governments in the state, on Friday.

“I will do my best to enhance the capacity and productivity of our Information Officers,” he said.

According to the statement, the gesture demonstrated Wayya’s resolve to empower the information officers, strengthen the state’s information dissimination system so as to effectively keep the citizens fully informed about government policies and programmes.
