Rep Alhasan Rurum Constructs 100 Kilometer Roads, Classrooms

Member representing Rano, Kibiya, Bunkure in the House of Representatives, Alhaji Kabiru Alasan Rurum,has constructed about 100 kilometer roads to ease transportation in the constituency.
Rurum, who is also the Chairman House Committee on Air Force,disclosed this while conducting newsmen round one of the roads at Rurum town.
The roads,he said, included Rano-Dawaki Nitel-Kofar fada,Guska-madachi,Rano- Barkum-Kumurya, Kibiya-Nariya-Bacha,as well as 3 township roads at Rurum.
“These roads were constructed to facilitate smooth movement of people and goods, especially farm produce, within the Rano,Bunkure and Kibiya Federal Constituency,”the lawmaker said.
He also disclosed that he constructed 2 six classrooms blocks, provided furniture,carried out general renovation and fencing of the Bunkure Central Primary School.
The lawmaker also said he constructed two blocks of six classrooms and one block of two classrooms at Tarai Government Girls Secondary School and Government Arabic Secondary School.
Similarly,he said,he constructed one block of three classrooms at Saya-Saya, as well a provided six classroom blocks at Kibiya near Juma’at Mosque.
“These particular projects form part of my contribution to the development of education, especially the girl-child education in the constituency,” he said.
Some of the students interviewed commended Rurum for the gesture which they said had alleviated the shortage of classrooms and furniture being faced by their respective schools for several years.
