Kano State Police Command Conducts Free Diabetic Screening and Health Awareness Sensitization for Officers
As part of efforts to prioritize the health and well-being of its personnel, the Kano State Police Command, in collaboration with ISN Products and Zolon Healthcare Nig Ltd, organized a free diabetic screening and health awareness sensitization program for police officers on February 12, 2025.
A team of medical experts, led by Umar Kashetu from ISN Products and Zolon Healthcare Nig Ltd, provided diabetic screening, health sensitization, and management services to over 70 police officers. The initiative aimed at promoting early detection, prevention, and effective management of diabetes among officers in Kano State.
Speaking on the initiative, Umar Kashetu said, “ISN Products and Zolon Healthcare Nig Ltd partnered with the Bompai Police Clinic to provide this free screening as a form of medical support to the Police Force. The results indicate that police officers are highly health-conscious. We are committed to further supporting the Force with additional medical screenings in the coming weeks.”
The Kano State Commissioner of Police, CP Salman Dogo Garba, expressed gratitude for the support and partnership of ISN Products and Zolon Healthcare Nig Ltd. He emphasized the importance of ensuring officers’ well-being, stating, “We recognize the significance of maintaining the health of our personnel, and we remain committed to providing them with access to quality healthcare services.”
This initiative aligns with the strategic vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, to enhance the welfare and well-being of officers across the Nigeria Police Force.
