Eid-El-Kabir: Bauchi Security Adviser Seeks Pilgrims’ Prayers for Peace

By Wasila Yakubu Abdullahi

As Muslims across the world celebrate Eid-El-Kabir, the Chief Security Adviser to the Bauchi State Governor, retired Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Ahmad Abdurrahman, has extended warm felicitations to the people of Bauchi State and Nigerians at large.

In a press statement signed and made available to newsmen by the Chief Press Secretary, Abdullahi Alhassan, Abdurrahman described the Eid celebration as a time for reflection, gratitude, and prayer for national development.

“This joyous occasion is a time for reflection, gratitude, and celebration with loved ones. It reminds us of Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion and willingness to sacrifice his son—a profound lesson in obedience, faith, and selflessness,” he stated.

Abdurrahman called on citizens of Bauchi State to continue supporting the government’s efforts in maintaining peace and security, stressing the importance of community cooperation in combating crime.

“We must work together to ensure a safe and prosperous Bauchi State. I urge citizens to share credible information that can aid the arrest of criminal elements in our communities,” he said.

Addressing pilgrims currently performing the Hajj, the Chief Security Adviser wished them a safe and accepted pilgrimage. He urged them to remember Bauchi State and Nigeria in their prayers, emphasizing that peace is essential for development.

“Development and peace are intertwined—without peace, progress is impossible. I assure the people of Bauchi that the government remains fully committed to ensuring their safety. We will continue to tackle security challenges and create an enabling environment for growth and prosperity,” he added.

He further called on citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to security agencies, stressing that unity and cooperation are vital in building a peaceful and prosperous state.

Abdurrahman also appreciated the dedication of security personnel across the state for their relentless efforts in maintaining law and order, while commending the leadership and vision of Governor Senator Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad.

“Together, we can build a safer and more prosperous Bauchi State. I wish all Muslims a happy and blessed Eid-El-Kabir. May Allah accept our sacrifices and prayers, and may we continue to strive for peace and national development,” he concluded.
