AKY Go Again Movement Hails Massive Turnout for Gov. Yusuf’s Homecoming

The AKY Go Again Movement has expressed its profound gratitude to the people of Kano State, along with political and non‑political groups, as well as government officials, for responding to its call and turning out in their thousands to welcome His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, upon his return from the holy pilgrimage of Hajj.
The resounding reception from the Aminu Kano International Airport to the Government House was described as a strong display of solidarity and a reaffirmation of the enduring political strength of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, under the visionary leadership of His Excellency Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
In a statement signed by Ramadan Yusuf on behalf of the Movement, it was explained that the grand reception was organized to acknowledge the impactful and transformative stewardship of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, and to publicly declare support for his continuity in office beyond 2027.
The Movement, steered by Alhaji Tijjani Hussain Gandu (SSA Mawallafa), Hon. Sadeeq Kote (Chairman) , Abdullahi Sarki Fulani (SSA, Kano State Censorship Board) Abubakar Muhammad Inuwa (SSA on Reformatory Institutes) and Hon. Sulaiman Bichi, Ramadan Yusuf (SSA on Media Monitoring and Innovation).
Others are Hon. Aminu Yanmedi, Hon. Yakubu Kubaraci, and Shamsu Kura, emphasized their belief in the Governor’s people‑first style of leadership, his commitment to restoring dignity and integrity in governance, and his successful delivery of critical developmental projects that have placed Kano State on a path of progress and prosperity.
Looking ahead, the AKY Go Again Movement reaffirmed its role as a strategic platform for highlighting the Governor’s achievements and mobilizing grassroots support to sustain the administration’s vision.
The Movement expressed its continued commitment to promoting unity, good governance, and the ideals of progressive leadership championed by the Kwankwasiyya philosophy.
The statement concluded with thanks to all who contributed to making the welcoming event a success, offering prayers for Allah’s guidance and protection over the Governor as he continues to serve the people of Kano State.
