2027: Mark, Aregbesola lead ADC to challenge Tinubu
Former Senate President David Mark and ex-Osun Governor Rauf Aregbesola have been named interim National Chairman and Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Their appointments were sealed at an Abuja meeting by a new opposition coalition seeking to unseat President Tinubu in 2027.
Also appointed was ex-Sports Minister Bolaji Abdullahi as interim National Publicity Secretary. The coalition, which includes Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Rotimi Amaechi, and Nasir El-Rufai, recently chose the ADC as its platform. A formal unveiling is set for Wednesday.
This follows months of talks to forge a united opposition, while major parties like the PDP, LP, NNPP, and SDP grapple with internal crises
