The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has inducted 64 beneficiaries for a three-month vocational skills training under the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative in Adamawa State.
Speaking at the orientation programme in Yola, Acting State Coordinator of NDE, Mrs. Pwa’angulma Josiah Louis, said the training—Phase II of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s initiative—is aimed at boosting employment opportunities for Nigerian youth.
She explained that participants would undergo training in Environmental Beautification and Solar Energy schemes, urging them to be good ambassadors by adhering to workshop rules and regulations.
In her remarks, Head of the Special Public Works Department, Hajiya Sakina Mohammed, advised the beneficiaries to take the training seriously, stressing that with diligence they could become employers of labour.
She assured that qualified facilitators had been engaged to deliver professional instruction.
Our correspondent gathered that the trainees would specialize in POP making, hard and soft landscaping, as well as solar energy installation and maintenance.
