Nigeria @65: Radda calls for citizens’ support in tackling insecurity

Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, has urged Nigerians to partner with government in addressing the nation’s security challenges as the country marks its 65th Independence Day anniversary.
In his Independence message, the Governor congratulated the people of Katsina State and all Nigerians, describing the anniversary as a moment of reflection on the nation’s journey and a call to renew commitment toward building a prosperous country.
Radda noted that Nigeria is facing daunting challenges, especially in the area of security but expressed optimism that the situation can be overcome through collective effort.
“As we celebrate 65 years of independence, we must recognize that nation building is a shared responsibility. The security challenges confronting our dear nation require all hands on deck,” he said.
The Governor emphasized that security agencies alone cannot win the fight against criminality without the support of citizens. He called on Nigerians to remain vigilant, report suspicious movements and provide credible intelligence to security operatives.
He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for prioritizing security and introducing economic reforms to reposition the country for sustainable growth.
Radda also praised the resilience and patriotism of Nigerians, describing them as the nation’s greatest asset. “Our strength as a nation lies in our diversity and unity of purpose. When we work together, there is no challenge too difficult to overcome,” he said.
Reassuring the people of Katsina State of his administration’s commitment, Radda promised to continue working for the safety, welfare and prosperity of citizens. He urged the people to remain lawabiding and supportive of government policies aimed at peace and development.
