Kano Gov Seeks Removal of State Police Commissioner

Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has called on the Federal Government to urgently replace the Commissioner of Police in the state.

Yusuf made the appeal during the celebration of Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary, where he expressed displeasure over the commissioner’s decision to withdraw security personnel from the Sani Abacha Stadium during the event.

The governor described the move as inappropriate and warned that such an action could threaten security and public peace during a national celebration.
