Tinubu to honour Zamfara female pilgrim over found and return of $80,000

Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has concluded preparations to honour a Zamfara female pilgrim, Hajiya Aishatu ‘Yan Guru Bungudu, who had shown honest for returning to the owner, a lost sum of ($80,000) Dollar, equivalent to about sixty million naira while performing the 2023 pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.

The declaration was made by the Chairman Zamfara State Hajj committee, Alhaji Musa Mallaha while Fielding questions by newsmen in his office, explaining that, the President was happy being informed over the incident to the extent he directed the National Hajj Commission to organize a national press conference with the lady for record keeping.

“But when the commission contacted us, the lady was already airlifted back to her home state Nigeria after completing the Hajj excercise.

“We are still making the arrangement which our Zamfara State Governor will be part of the ceremony when the lady will be publicly honored by the state First Lady”, Mallaha has stated.

Mallaha, who expressed apparent happiness with the level of honesty exhibited by the honest female pilgrim, stressed that her good behavior is not only a pride to Zamfara and Nigeria as a Nation, but was by extension, a pride to the entire Muslim world.

“Honesty is one of the major devine teachings embodied in the Quran as the main guide to Muslims”, he said.
