TBS Northwest Decries Unfulfilled Promises, Seeks FG Action

The Director General of the Tinubu Shettima Movement Organisation Northwest (TBS), Abba Muhammad Gashiwa, has expressed deep concern over what he described as the Federal Government’s failure to fulfil several promises made to the people of the Northwest during the last election campaign.

Speaking at a meeting convened by the movement, Gashiwa said the gathering was prompted by mounting complaints and disappointment among citizens, particularly the youths who, according to him, “voted massively for this government with hope and confidence.”

He lamented that despite their overwhelming support for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), many of the expectations of the people remain unmet.

“If these issues are not addressed before the next election, we will have nothing tangible to show our people as evidence of what has been achieved under the APC-led administration,” Gashiwa stated.

The TBS Director General also decried the absence of visible development programs aimed at improving the lives of women in Northern Nigeria, describing the situation as “disheartening and in need of urgent government attention.”

He explained that the movement convened the meeting to tender an apology to the people, especially women and youth in the North, while reaffirming its commitment to advocate for change, accountability, and meaningful interventions from the Federal Government.

“We are engaging relevant authorities to ensure that the Federal Government introduces practical programs that will empower women and youth across the region,” Gashiwa assured.

While acknowledging the trust and support the movement received during the campaign period, he expressed gratitude to the electorate, pledging that their concerns would be formally presented to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“We will submit your petition to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and we are confident that, by the grace of God, your tears will be wiped away,” he said.

Gashiwa further called on all supporters of the Tinubu-Shettima Movement to remain steadfast and united in the collective pursuit of progress, justice, and accountability, urging them to maintain faith in the process of rebuilding trust between the government and the people.
