The Kano State Fire Service, Danbatta Branch, has intensified its awareness campaign on fire prevention as part of efforts to reduce the risk of fire outbreaks during the harmattan season.
The sensitization exercise, held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the Danbatta District Head’s Palace, was supervised by the Assistant Director, Hassan Abba Gaya. The campaign aimed to educate residents on safety measures and precautions necessary to prevent fire incidents that are common during the dry season.
During the event, residents were urged to handle fire with utmost care and adopt preventive measures to safeguard their lives and property.
Speaking on behalf of the Service, Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, the Public Relations Officer of the Kano State Fire Service, emphasized the importance of the campaign in protecting lives and property. He also reminded the public to promptly report any fire emergency by contacting 08107888878 or 07026026400.
The campaign, according to Abdullahi, is part of the Service’s continuous commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of residents across Kano State.
