Youth and Open Government Clique Urge Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi Ibrahim to Contest for Kano Municipal House of Representatives
Youth groups in Kano Municipal, alongside the Open Government Clique led by its Chairman, Bashir Muhammad, have formally called on Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi Ibrahim to contest for the seat of Member, Kano Municipal House of Representatives in the upcoming elections.
In a statement issued after a consultative meeting, the groups described Alhaji Aminu as a leader whose diverse experience and proven integrity make him exceptionally suited for the role. They emphasized that his background as a businessman, teacher, and journalist uniquely equips him with the practical wisdom, community insight, and communication skills required to champion the interests of the people.
Chairman Bashir Muhammad noted that Alhaji Aminu has consistently demonstrated commitment to transparency, civic engagement, and community development—values that align strongly with the mission of the Open Government Clique. He added that youths across the municipality see Alhaji Aminu as a dependable figure capable of bridging gaps, driving reforms, and restoring accountability in public service.
The groups highlighted that at a time when Kano Municipal faces pressing governance and socio-economic challenges, Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi Ibrahim stands out as the only credible and reliable candidate capable of rescuing and repositioning the Local Government for progress.
They concluded by urging him to heed the collective call of the people and offer himself for service, affirming that his leadership is not only desired but necessary for the future of Kano Municipal.
