In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, ACFO Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, the Service disclosed that it recorded 665 fire incidents, 130 rescue operations, and 43 false alarm calls within the year under review.

According to the report, 120 lives were lost due to various emergencies, including fire outbreaks, road accidents, and incidents involving ponds and wells. However, 91 lives were successfully saved through swift response efforts by the agency’s personnel.

The Service estimated the total value of property lost during the year at ₦6,476,144,762, while properties worth ₦15,325,465,767 were successfully saved from destruction. The report further indicated that residential fire incidents increased to 376 cases within the period.
