In a landmark move to strengthen academic excellence and human capital development in Borno State, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Borno State, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, CON, mni, FNSE, has approved the automatic appointment of eighty-one (81) best graduating students of Kashim Ibrahim University (KIU), Kano, as lecturers.
The appointments take effect from 1st January, 2026, and are aimed at boosting manpower capacity and improving teaching and research standards within the University.
In addition to the appointments, the beneficiaries have also been granted automatic scholarships for postgraduate studies both locally and internationally. This initiative is designed to further equip the young academics with advanced skills, global exposure, and cutting-edge knowledge that will enhance the quality of higher education delivery in Borno State.
Governor Zulum’s approval reflects his administration’s unwavering commitment to investing in education, nurturing local talent, and building a sustainable academic workforce for the future of the state.
