The All Progressives Congress (APC) Conflict Resolution, Strategy, and Mobilization Committee, chaired by Yobe State Governor Hon. (Dr.) Mai Mala Buni, has identified key areas requiring urgent reconciliation and resolution to strengthen party unity and progress.
In a statement by Mamman Mohammed, Director-General, Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, the committee—meeting at the Yobe State Governor’s Lodge, Abuja—underscored the importance of resolving internal conflicts and charting a new course for cohesion, unity, and strength as the party prepares for its forthcoming national convention and other political engagements.
“This is to give all stakeholders and party members a sense of belonging as the country prepares for the next round of electioneering,” the committee emphasized.
It also stressed the need to bridge all existing differences to ensure a united front in advancing the party’s programmes and contesting future elections.
Unity and cohesion remain top priorities on the committee’s agenda, which has already identified states and political actors whose differences could threaten the party’s stability and require immediate intervention.
The committee includes Governor Mai Mala Buni as Chairman, with Governors Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq (Kwara), Hope Uzodimma (Imo), Hyacinth Alia (Benue), Umar Namadi (Jigawa), Bassey Otu (Cross River), Abiodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), and Uba Sani (Kaduna) as members.
Other members are Governor Siminalayi Fubara (Rivers); Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola; Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle; former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello; Senator Adamu Aliero; Senior Special Adviser to the President on Political Affairs and other Matters, Ibrahim Masari; and Muiz Banire, SAN, who serves as Secretary.
