An 18-year-old housewife, identified as Khadija Jamilu, is currently on the run after allegedly attacking her 25-year-old husband with a knife, inflicting a deep cut on his genital organ.
According to police sources, on February 6, 2026, at about 3:00 p.m., the Potiskum Divisional Police Headquarters received a distress call reporting a violent domestic incident that occurred earlier at about 1:00 a.m.
Upon receiving the report, police operatives swiftly visited the scene and rushed the victim to the State Specialist Hospital, Potiskum, for emergency treatment. He was later referred to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Azare, where he is currently receiving medical care.
The police have launched a manhunt for the fleeing suspect, while an investigation into the case is ongoing.
