The Management of Red China Restaurant in Kano State, has extended its annual Ramadan gesture to support needy residents within the community.
The distribution exercise, held today at restaurant’s premises under the leadership of its manager, Mr. Lok, and his wife, brought smiles to the faces of over 200 men and women beneficiaries.
Speaking during the event, Mr. Lok said the gesture was part of the restaurant’s yearly effort to assist people experiencing hardship.

“We see so many people in difficult times. Although we also face challenges, we try to do what we can to help others because they also assist us,” he stated.
He added that this year’s exercise coincides with both the Chinese New Year celebration and the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, describing it as a moment of shared joy and cultural unity.
“We are celebrating our New Year alongside Ramadan with our Muslim brothers. We are always together, and they support us. We just do our part and hope others will also assist the needy,” Mr. Lok said.
A staff member of Red China Restaurant, Abubakar Musa Gawuna, explained that the beneficiaries were not pre-selected but voluntarily turned up, as they are familiar with the restaurant’s annual humanitarian exercise.

“Mr. Lok and his wife have been doing this for years, and it serves as a motivating example for other philanthropists to emulate,” Gawuna added.
Some beneficiaries, including Malama Zainab and Malam Yusuf, expressed appreciation to the management of Red China Restaurant for their continuous support and prayed to Allah to reward the couple abundantly.
