The Nasarawa State Office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has successfully concluded its Phase Two Continuous Voter Registration and IVED ward rotation sensitization exercise across all thirteen Local Government Areas of the state.
The outreach, led by the Head of the Voter Education and Publicity Department, covered major markets, motor parks, livestock markets, and other public places to educate eligible voters on the importance of registration and active participation in electoral activities.
The sensitization exercise recorded strong collaboration from traditional rulers, who played key roles in mobilizing their communities.
In Lafia Local Government Area, the outreach witnessed massive participation, with media organizations including NTA, Nasarawa Broadcasting Service NBS and Radio Nigeria Precious FM providing coverage.
The exercise in Lafia local Government was attended by the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Alhaji Dr. Shehu L. Abdulwahab, the Administrative Secretary, Engineer Jibril Mohammad Maji, officials of the National Orientation Agency, INEC staff, and NYSC members.
Radio Nigeria reports that the Phase Two outreach boosted voter registration figures by ninety percent compared to Phase One before the commencement of the exercise.
The grassroots sensitization and Advocacy Outrage ended on the thirteenth of February, 2026, after successfully covering the entire thirteen Local Government Areas of Nasarawa State.
