The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced the scheduled dates for its state congresses and national convention.
This was disclosed in a joint statement signed by the party’s National Organizing Secretary, Prince Chinedu Idigbo, and the National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi.
“The African Democratic Congress (ADC) hereby announces the official schedule of activities for the conduct of the party’s 2026 nationwide congresses and national convention,” the statement read.
According to the statement, polling unit and ward congresses will hold on April 7, while Local Government Area congresses are scheduled for April 9, and state congresses on April 11. The party’s National Convention will subsequently take place on April 14, 2026.
“This process forms part of the party’s constitutional responsibility to renew its leadership structures across all levels of the organisation, beginning from the polling units and wards through the local government and state levels, and culminating in the national convention,” the statement added.
The party also advised members interested in contesting for various positions to obtain their nomination and expression of interest forms through its official website.
