The Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District and former Governor of Plateau State, Simon Bako Lalong, today carried out an inspection of the venue for the forthcoming All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention scheduled to hold on Saturday at the Eagle Square, Abuja.
Senator Lalong, who serves as Vice Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Venue, undertook the inspection alongside the Chairman of the Committee and Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun and other members.
During the visit, the Committee members interacted with workers and officials handling various aspects of the preparation. They assessed the level of work done and reviewed arrangements to ensure a smooth and successful convention.
Speaking after the inspection, both Governor Abiodun and Senator Lalong expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of preparations, noting that significant progress has been made. He assured party members and stakeholders that all necessary arrangements would be completed ahead of the convention.
Senator Lalong and Governor Abiodun also commended the leadership of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Chairman of the APC, Nentawe Yilwatda, for their guidance and support, which they said have been instrumental in ensuring the smooth planning of the event.
This is the second inspection of the venue by the team within 24 hours.
The APC National Convention is expected to bring together party leaders, delegates, and stakeholders from across the country as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s unity and reposition it for future engagements.
