The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Jibril Ismail Falgore, has expressed deep condolences to former Kaduna State governor, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, his family, and the people of Kaduna State over the death of his mother.
In a statement issued on Saturday by his spokesperson, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, the Speaker described the passing of Hajiya Umma Ahmad El-Rufai as a profound and irreparable loss.
Falgore noted that the deceased embodied discipline, integrity, love, and sacrifice, adding that she laid a strong foundation for a good family life. He also highlighted that her life and values would continue to inspire and guide those she left behind.
“It is with deep sorrow that we reflect on how her warmth touched many lives, as she raised an exceptional individual. The family should take solace in the meaningful life she lived and the enduring legacy she leaves behind,” the statement read.
On behalf of members of the Kano State House of Assembly, Falgore extended heartfelt sympathies to El-Rufai and his family, describing the late matriarch as a woman of courage and remarkable qualities whose life would remain an inspiration to many.
He prayed that Almighty Allah forgives her shortcomings, grants her Aljannatul Firdaus, and gives her family the strength to bear the loss.
