Plateau Government Imposes 48-Hour Curfew in Jos North

The Plateau State Government has imposed a 48-hour curfew in Jos North Local Government Area following a deadly security incident.
The incident occurred on Sunday night in Gari Ya Waye community, Angwan Rukuba, where lives were lost and several others injured.
In response, the government, in collaboration with security agencies, announced that the curfew takes immediate effect from midnight of March 29 and will run until April 1, 2026.
According to a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Joyce Ramnap, the government strongly condemned the attack, describing it as barbaric and unprovoked.
The statement assured residents that efforts are underway to track down those responsible and bring them to justice.
