The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Hajiya Maimuna Isa Umar, mother of the Emir of Rano.
In a statement issued on Monday by his Chief Press Secretary, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, Falgore described her passing as a devastating and irreplaceable loss. He noted that her discipline, integrity, and strong moral values had a lasting impact not only on her family but also on the wider Rano Emirate.
“The Rano Emirate and Kano State have indeed lost a woman of virtue and substance. This is a loss for all of us,” the Speaker said.
Falgore, on behalf of the Assembly, extended heartfelt condolences to the Emir of Rano, the emirate council, and the people of Kano State over the bereavement.
He also prayed for strength and patience for the bereaved family, asking Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus.
