Islamic Scholars Urge More Support For Kano State Hisbah Board

Some prominent Islamic Scholars and key stakeholders of the Kano State Hisbah Board have urged the State Government to increase its support to the board in order to enhance its effectiveness.
A statement signed and issued by the Director of Public Enlightenment of the board,Auwal Ado Sheshe, said the Islamic Scholars made the call during a Sallah courtesy visit paid to some of them by the Deputy Commander-General of Hisbah, Dr. Mujahid Aminuddeen Abubakar.
Dr.Mujahid Aminuddeen Abubakar represented the Commander-General of Hisbah, Sheikh Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa,at the occasion.
According to the statement,Sheikh Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa said the visit was organized to strengthen the relationship between the Hisbah Board and the Islamic scholars, in recognition of their significant contributions to the society.
He commended the sermons delivered by the scholars during the Ramadan period, which he said,helped in reinforcing the principles of enjoining good and forbidding evil.
He urged them to continue supporting the Board, cooperating with it, and offering prayers for its success.
Earlier,the Acting Commander-General of Hisbah in charge of Training and Discipline, Dr. Jamilu Ajiya, highlighted the vital role the Islamic scholars play in Hisbah activities.
Dr.Ajiya explained that Islamic scholars are the backbone of implementing Islamic law and ensuring the establishment and sustainability of the Hisbah Board.
In their separate remarks, the Islamic scholars expressed appreciation to the Board for the visit and reaffirmed their continued support and cooperation.
They also advised the Hisbah personnel to remain committed to their duties, exercise patience, and work sincerely for the sake of Allah.
The scholars further called on the State Government to provide more support to the Board, particularly in terms of equipment and improved staff welfare allowances.
They added that the presence and activities of the Hisbah Board are among the reasons for the peace being enjoyed in Kano State.
Among the scholars visited were Professor Sheikh Umar Sani Fagge, Sheikh Abdulwahab Abdallah, Sheikh Abubakar Umar Kandahar, and Sheikh Nasiru Muhammad Adam, Chairman of the Council of Imams.
At the end of the visit, copies of the Holy Qur’an and letters of appreciation were presented to the scholars.
Senior officials of the Hisbah Board accompanied the Deputy Commander-General during the visit.
