The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) has successfully concluded the Branch Delegates’ Conference for its Oil and Gas Suppliers (OGS) Branch, reaffirming its commitment to democratic traditions and constitutional governance.
In a statement by Babagana Ajimi-Branch Auditor and make to journalist on Friday revealed,the event, held at the Manhattan Event Centre along Eleyele Road, Jericho, Ibadan, Oyo State, drew an impressive turnout of delegates and observers from the OGS Branch’s four Zonal Councils.
According to the statement,key union leaders in attendance included NUPENG General Secretary, Comrade Afolabi Olawale, and the SAGS (Finance & Accounts), Comrade Vincent Ukhuakua, alongside officials from the NUPENG Lagos Zonal Council.
“Elections were overseen by the Returning Officer, Comrade Osunbor Idahoise, SAGS/Admin. Head of the Lagos Zonal Council.
“At the close of the process,the following members were returned elected;Com. Victor Okafor-Branch Chairman,Com. Ekun Oluwasegun-Deputy Branch Chairman,Com. Anayo Chukwu-Deputy Branch Chairman,Com. Apalara Tunde-Branch Secretary,Com. Zakari Hussaini Zakari-Branch Treasurer,Com. Adekunle Adewale-Branch Trustee,Com. Kenneth Osham-Branch Vice Chairman, Lagos,Com. Emeke Uyanna-Branch Vice Chairman, Port Harcourt,Com. Sunday Chudy Ani- Branch Vice,Chairman, Kaduna”,said Ajimi.
