Abubakar Kabir Abubakar Bichi, Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations, has donated ₦100 million to the family of the late Muhammad Hassan.
Bichi, who represents Bichi Federal Constituency, led members of the Appropriations Committee on a condolence visit to the family of the deceased lawmaker, describing his death as a significant loss to the National Assembly and his constituents.
Hassan, who represented Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency in Kano State, died last Friday night in Abuja at the age of 62 after a prolonged illness. He is survived by three wives and 18 children.
During the visit, special prayers were offered for the repose of his soul, with colleagues asking Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.
As part of efforts to support the bereaved family, Bichi announced a donation of ₦100 million, noting that the gesture was aimed at easing their burden during this difficult period.
He also extended condolences to the family, associates, and the people of Dawakin Kudu/Warawa, urging them to take solace in the legacy of service left behind by the late lawmaker.
