Nigeria Must Abandon Neocolonial Capitalism And Adopt Socialism – PRP
By Abdullahi Yusuf
The People’s Redemption Party(PRP) says Nigeria must abandon what it called the Neocolonial capitalist system and replace it with Socialism for the progress of the nation.
“Nigeria must abandon the Neocolonial capitalist system and march on with the struggle to replace it with socialism in our lifetime.
“This can be done only if we return to the basics, to class struggle on all fronts: workplace, politics, social and cultural life.
“Whenever a handful of billionaires corner the national resources for themselves, know that you do not have a country, you have a colony ruled by the Men-In-Agbada for the men in three piece suite pulling the strings from the Centre, the Metropole. That is how the imperial system works,” said the National Chairman, PRP-VANGUARD, Comrade Abdulmajid Yakubu Daudu.
Daudu made the remarks while addressing a news conference at the Kano NUJ press centre on Monday.
The party also stated that it will intensify its struggle to resist what it called the
exploitative bourgeois order.
“We the working and toiling people have to intensify our struggle to resist this exploitative bourgeois order. The battle to rescue the PRP from the clutches of the Kaduna Mafia by the masses is part and parcel of this struggle to defeat the Tinubu regime that is out to forcibly usurp power in 2027 as it did in 2023. History must not repeat itself.
“The PRP will continue its struggle on all fronts: the courts, the grassroots, and the media for conscientisation and mass education,” it said.
According to the PRP, all the failed mainstream political parties and politicians are capitalists, and that,”They did not just fail in the first, second, and third republics. They are escalating their failures with vengeance in this Fourth Republic.
“And it is the same social system that has failed for 65 years and counting: Neocolonial capitalist system. It has no future.
“Imagine, under this system we have produced the richest individual billionaires in business and politics in Africa, while our people are reduced to the poorest on the continent. Is this progress or mass retardation? The answer is obvious,” the party added.
“The struggle is our joy. Freedom is our bond. Democracy is our choice. None but ourselves can free our party. Victory is our destiny,” it added.
