The Sector Commander, Sector 3 Karaye Area Command of the Kano State Security Neighborhood Watch Corps, Assistant Commander General (ACG) Aminu Mohammed Getso, has embarked on a series of strategic courtesy visits to Rimin Gado, Kabo, Gwarzo, and Shanono Local Government Areas as part of efforts to enhance security effectiveness and reinforce professionalism within his area of jurisdiction.
Yusuf Abubakar Ibrahim Anipr, Director Public Enlightenment at KSNWC disclosed this in a press statement released to newsmen on Monday.
According to Yusuf, during the visits, the Sector Commander conducted comprehensive inspections of the Local Government Divisions to assess operational readiness, discipline and adherence to standard procedures among personnel.
He emphasized the importance of professionalism, dedication to duty and proactive community engagement in ensuring sustainable peace and security.
ACG Getso also held interactive sessions with key stakeholders across the visited Local Government Areas, including community leaders and other relevant partners.
These engagements were aimed at strengthening collaboration, fostering mutual trust and promoting collective responsibility in maintaining peace, law and order.
The Sector Commander reiterated that effective security management requires synergy between security agencies and the communities they serve.
He called on all stakeholders to continue supporting the Corps with timely information and cooperation to curb crime and enhance public safety.
He further dislosed that he will conclude the remaining five Local Government areas under the command soonest.
Sector 3 Command comprises nine Local Government Areas, namely Karaye, Rogo, Bebeji, Madobi, Kura, Gwarzo, Shanono, Kano Municipal, and Rimin Gado, with its Headquarters situated in Karaye.
The ongoing visits form part of a broader strategy to ensure uniform standards, operational efficiency, and strengthened grassroots security architecture across the sector.
The Kano State Neighborhood Watch Corps remains committed to its mandate of safeguarding lives and property through community-based security initiatives and sustained stakeholder collaboration.
