By Abdullahi Yusuf
Frontline Yobe State APC Governorship Aspirant, Kashim Musa Tumsah MFR, on Monday submitted his expression of interest/nomination forms to contest for the state’s governorship seat in the 2027 general elections.
A statement signed by the Spokesman of
KMT Campaign Organization,Malam
Abubakar Ahmed, said Tumsah submitted the two forms at the APC National Secretariat, Abuja.
Ahmed said KMT arrived the party’s headquarters amid pomp and ceremony and excorted by a large crowd chanting APC slogans.
He was received by a senior staff of the party who cheerfully showed him to the office of the APC Deputy National Chairman (North), Hon. Ali Bukar Dalorima, who received to process the documents.
Addressing journalists shortly after submitting the forms, the development advocate pledged that if elected as the Governor of Yobe, he would take the state to greater heights through his people-centered projects and empowerment opportunities.
On the issue of consensus purportedly reached by some select individuals, Tumsah maintained that there had never been any consensus on any of the aspirants.
He explained that for a consensus to be reached, all the aspirants whom had purchased and submitted their nomination forms must come together in the presence of other stakeholders, agree on one of them, and seal the agreement with their signatures, which he said, had not been done.
He assured Yobe State citizens that with their support and prayers, the best person for the state would eventually emerge as the next governor.
KMT was escorted by the leadership and members of the Yobe First Movement YFM, Haskey Forum, friends, family members, well wishers, politicians and supporters.
Just last week, the YFM and Haskey Forum purchased the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for KMT which they said was their humble way of expressing their gratitude to him for his interventions in all areas of human endeavour which had positively touched the lives of citizens throughout the state, over the years.
