The Kano State Neighborhood Watch Security Corps has successfully conducted a Peeping Ceremony for a total of 32 Corps personnel at the Agency’s Headquarters as part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening community-based security architecture across the State.
Yusuf Abubakar Ibrahim Anipr, Director Public Enlightenment, KSNWC disclosed this in a statement issued to newsmen on Monday.
According to Yusuf, the ceremony which was attended by the Commander General of the Corps, Lt. Col. Aminu Yusuf Abdulmalik (Rtd), who was represented by his Deputy, Major Abubakar Adamu (Rtd), management staff, sector commanders, and other senior officers, served as a platform to assess the discipline, operational readiness, and professionalism of the Corps Watchers.
In his remarks, the Deputy Commander General emphasized the critical role of the Neighborhood Watch Corps in complementing conventional security agencies through intelligence gathering, vigilance and community engagement.
He reiterated the Corps’ unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property while maintaining the highest standards of discipline and integrity.
Major Abubakar Adamu RTD further commended the Corps Watchers for their dedication, resilience and sense of duty, urging them to remain steadfast and professional in the discharge of their responsibilities.
He also stressed the importance of synergy with other security agencies and the need for sustained cooperation with community stakeholders.
The Peeping Ceremony reflects the Agency’s continuous efforts to enhance capacity building, enforce operational standards and ensure that personnel remain fit and prepared to effectively address emerging security challenges within the State.
