The Office of the Chairman, Media and Community Enlightenment Committee Unit (MCCU) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe State, Hon. Saidu Hassan Jakusko, has called on governorship aspirants and political stakeholders within the party to respect the collective decision of party leaders and supporters regarding the emergence of Baba Malam Wali, MNI, as the preferred consensus governorship candidate in the state.
In a statement issued on behalf of the committee, Hon. Saidu Hassan Jakusko said the people of Yobe State have continued to express confidence in Baba Malam Wali, MNI, following his endorsement by party leaders, describing him as a competent, experienced, and visionary leader with deep understanding of governance and politics.
He noted that the choice of Baba Malam Wali was carefully made based on his proven leadership qualities, political experience, and capacity to sustain and advance the developmental strides recorded in Yobe State.
Hon. Jakusko urged all governorship aspirants, party members, and political stakeholders to place the unity and progress of the APC above personal interests by supporting the party’s consensus arrangement for the overall development of the state.
He further cautioned against actions or political activities capable of creating division within the APC, stressing that any attempt to undermine the unity and stability of the party would not serve the interest of the people of Yobe State.
The statement also appealed to party faithful across the state to remain committed to the ideals and vision of the APC as the party prepares for future political engagements.
Hon. Saidu Hassan Jakusko concluded by praying for sustained unity, peace, and success for the APC in Yobe State, while asking Allah to continue to strengthen the bond among party members and guide the party towards greater achievements.
