We’ll Work To Recreate Onye Anambra, Move From Strategic To Digital Communication – Mefor Tells Anambra House of Assembly
By Rose Oranye
The Anambra State Commissioner Confirmed for Information and Value Reformation, Dr Law Mefor, has declared his intention to move Anambra’s information management from strategic to digital communication, and to work towards recreating Onye Anambra through value and moral rebirth programs.
Mefor, who made the declaration while addressing the members of the Anambra State House of Assembly during a plenary where the commissioner nominees were confirmed on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, maintained that the ministry would develop a blueprint for value and moral rebirth of Anambra to suit the dream of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo for a new Onye Anambra.
He reminded the House members of his earlier promise to move information management from basic communication to strategic communication, which was fulfilled in his first tenure.
“This time around, we will move from strategic communication to digital communication. And then, the ministry has an additional mandate. It’s called value reformation. The idea of Mr Governor is to recreate onye Anambra. Because if after all these great works being done by Mr Governor, we cannot bequeath them to thieves, yahoo boys, ndị oke ite and their likes, it will be tragic.
“So the additional challenge is to recreate onye Anambra. What that simply means is that we will develop a blueprint for social and moral rebirth in Anambra State,” he said.
Also in a vote of thanks on behalf of the commissioner nominees confirmed by the House of Assembly Members, Mefor commended the cordial relationship between the executive and the legislative arm of the state and assured that they would ensure that the House members will always be carried along by the state executive.
He further expressed readiness to do everything possible to make government and governance better than they would meet it.
