The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Alh. Murtala Sule Garo, on Thursday paid a condolence visit to the family of late Sayyadi Barhama Dan Almajiri, the Deputy Chief Imam of Taibah Central Mosque, Rijiyar Lemo, who died on Tuesday after a brief illness at the age of 70.
The late cleric was also the Chairman of Kano State Zakkah and Hubusi Commission as well as the elder brother of Barrister Bashir Dan Almajiri. He is survived by one wife, eight children, and grandchildren.
During the visit, Garo described the death of the respected Islamic scholar as “indeed this is a great loss not only to the immediate family but to the entire Muslim community and Kano State at large.”
He noted that the deceased devoted his life to religious teachings, guidance, and community service.
The Deputy Governor prayed for Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the late Sayyadi Barhama Dan Almajiri and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.
He also prayed for the family to have the strength and patience to bear the irreparable loss.
“Families and communities should take solace in the exemplary life he lived and the positive impact he made during his lifetime,” Garo stated.
