The Former House of Representatives member, Hon. Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya, has urged his supporters and political associates to remain calm following recent developments in the Ajingi, Gaya and Albasu Federal Constituency.
He urged supporters to remain united and committed to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), stressing that politics should be guided by service, sacrifice and the collective interest of the people rather than personal ambition.
Gaya made the appeal in a statement issued on Friday in Kano by his Media Directorate.
“At this critical moment, I urge all my supporters to remain calm, united and unwavering in their commitment to the APC. Politics is ultimately about service, sacrifice and the collective interest of our people above personal ambition,” he said.
The former lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare and development of the people of Ajingi, Gaya and Albasu, noting that his loyalty to both the constituents and the APC remained unquestionable.
He disclosed that after consultations with stakeholders, and political associates, he decided to withdraw my aspiration in the interest of peace, unity and the continued strength of the party, adding that the decision was not made out of weakness, but out of concern for our people and a sincere desire to preserve harmony within the APC family,” he stated.
Gaya assured supporters across the constituency that he would continue to stand by them and would never take their loyalty for granted.
“I hear your voices, I value your advice, and I remain fully committed to standing with you at all times. Your prayers, encouragement and belief in our shared vision continue to inspire me every day,” he added.
