Former Deputy Governor of Kano State, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has felicitated with Muslims across Kano State and Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, urging them to uphold the values of sacrifice, spirituality and peaceful coexistence.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by his spokesperson, Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, Gwarzo called on Muslims to reflect on the virtues of obedience, patience and faith exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.
He also extended Eid greetings to the national leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, members of the movement and their supporters across the country.
The former deputy governor urged residents of Kano State to continue promoting unity, tolerance and harmony during and after the festive period.
“I wish all our Muslim brothers and sisters in Kano and Nigeria a happy and peaceful Eid-el-Kabir celebration,” he said.
Gwarzo also encouraged eligible Nigerians to take advantage of the ongoing Permanent Voter Card registration exercise, describing the PVC as an important instrument for democratic participation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He further prayed for sustained peace, progress and prosperity in Kano State and the country at large.
