The Kano State chapter of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU) has commended the Director-General, Media and Publicity to the State Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, for facilitating the repair of the union’s bus.
The commendation was made by the Chairman of RATTAWU Kano State Council, Comrade Babangida Mamuda Biyamusu, in a statement issued to journalists in Kano on Saturday.
According to him, the union’s bus had been out of use for some time due to mechanical faults, creating difficulties for members in carrying out official duties and union activities.
He described the intervention by the Director-General as timely, noting that the repair has restored the vehicle and eased transportation challenges faced by members.
“On behalf of the entire RATTAWU family in Kano State, we sincerely appreciate this gesture. The repair of the bus will go a long way in improving our operations and supporting our activities,” Biyamusu said.
The chairman assured that members of the union would continue to carry out their professional responsibilities, especially in informing and educating the public on government policies and programmes.
He also expressed appreciation to the Kano State Governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, for what he described as the administration’s commitment to development through its Kano First agenda.
Biyamusu described the governor as a people-oriented and media-friendly leader, adding that his administration has continued to implement policies aimed at improving the lives of residents.
He further reaffirmed the union’s commitment to promoting professionalism in the media industry and supporting initiatives that contribute to the development of Kano State.
