Kano State Government has reiterated the importance of sustained investment in military training and capacity development as a critical component of strengthening Nigeria’s security architecture.
The Deputy Governor, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, made this known today while representing Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf at the combined graduation ceremony of the Nigerian Navy Logistics College, Dawakin Tofa, Kano.
He said the graduation of officers and ratings across five different courses including Logistics Officers’ Basic Course 37, Petty Officers Qualifying Course 48, Leading Seaman Qualifying Course 48, Basic Qualifying Course 56, and Basic Projects Qualifying Course 4, reflects the Navy’s commitment to building professional excellence and operational readiness.
Garo described modern naval operations as heavily dependent on effective logistics, strategic planning, and leadership capacity rather than equipment alone.
He commended the graduating personnel, noting that the training received would significantly enhance their contributions to operational effectiveness and combat readiness in the field.
