The Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KSCHMA) has continued to strengthen the efficiency of healthcare service delivery by providing on-site mentorship to healthcare professionals at Khalifa Sheikh Isyaka Rabiu Paediatric Hospital on the use of its newly upgraded digital portal for medical code requests and claims processing.
The mentorship exercise was conducted as part of KSCHMA’s ongoing commitment to ensuring seamless implementation of the Agency’s enhanced claims management system across accredited secondary healthcare facilities in Kano State.
Representing the Executive Secretary of KSCHMA, Dr. Rahila Aliyu Muktar, the Director of Claims Management, Dr. Zakiyya Shehu Minjibir, explained that the exercise was designed to reinforce the knowledge acquired during the recent training organised for secondary healthcare facilities on the upgraded portal.
She noted that the practical mentorship would enhance users’ understanding of the platform, improve the accuracy and timeliness of medical code requests, strengthen claims processing, and minimise operational challenges, thereby contributing to more efficient healthcare financing and improved service delivery for enrollees.
Dr. Zakiyya further reaffirmed KSCHMA’s commitment to providing continuous technical support and capacity-building for healthcare providers to ensure optimal utilisation of the upgraded digital platform in line with global best practices.
The trainees expressed appreciation to KSCHMA for the mentorship, describing it as timely, practical, and highly beneficial in strengthening their understanding of the upgraded portal. They pledged to apply the knowledge and skills acquired to ensure accurate medical code requests, efficient claims processing, and improved service delivery to KSCHMA enrollees.
The mentorship exercise forms part of KSCHMA’s broader strategy to deepen digital transformation, strengthen accountability, and improve the quality, efficiency, and sustainability of contributory healthcare services across Kano State.
