Anambra HOS Tasks Directors,Heads Of Department On Leadership, Efficient Service Delivery

The Anambra State Head of Civil Service, Ngozi Añuli Iwouno, Esq., mni, has urged Directors and Heads of Department to provide purposeful leadership that promotes productivity, innovation, and efficient service delivery.
Iwouno gave the directive on July 8, during a management meeting with Directors and Heads of Department during a meeting held in the Committee Room of the Office of the Head of Service, Awka.
She urged them to be deliberate in assigning meaningful responsibilities to their subordinates in order to eliminate redundancy and improve productivity.
She also charged them to take ownership of their responsibilities, prioritize self-development, and demonstrate professionalism in the discharge of their official duties.
The Head of Service stressed the importance of ICT compliance, noting that officers who fail to embrace technology risk becoming obsolete in today’s rapidly evolving world.
She encouraged the management staff to mentor their subordinates and carry them along to ensure continuity in service.
Iwouno cautioned against the spread of false information on social media and urged the management staff to promote discipline, professionalism, and respect for constituted authority.
She also advised them to verify government-related information before sharing it on social media, emphasizing responsible communication and the need to protect the image of the government.
The Head of Service further urged the management staff to work smart, complete assignments promptly, and remain committed to effective, efficient, and citizen-centered service delivery.
