Kano State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, on Saturday served as Wakili (representative) at the wedding Fatiha of Hon. Bashir Nasiru Aliko Koki (MD) and his bride, Surayyah Saleh Bala.
Hon. Bashir Nasiru Aliko Koki, former Managing Director of Kano Line is also the son of prominent APC chieftain in Kano State, Alhaji Nasiru Aliko Koki, paid a dowry of N200,000 to solemnize the marriage in accordance with Islamic rites.
The wedding Fatiha, held at Layin Shata, Kurna Asabe, in Dala Local Government Area, attracted family members, friends, political associates, and well-wishers who gathered to witness the solemnization of the marriage and offer prayers for the couple.
Following the first ceremony, Deputy Governor proceeded to Wudil town, where he also served as the Wakili (representative) at the wedding fatiha of Malam Saleh Adamu and his bride, Zainab Hassan Jibrin. The marriage was solemnised with a dowry of N200,000.
At both ceremonies, prayers were offered for the couples, asking Allah to bless their unions with love, peace, understanding and righteous offspring.
Deputy Governor Garo congratulated all the families and prayed to Allah to bless the union with peace, love, understanding, and abundant prosperity.
He also emphasized the sanctity of marriage, urging the newlyweds to build their home on the values of mutual respect, patience, tolerance, and responsibility for a successful and enduring marriage.
