The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe State has been thrown into mourning following the death of its Deputy Women Leader, Hajiya Fatima Mairiga, who died on Saturday in Kano after a brief illness.
The late Hajiya Mairiga was a committed party stalwart who devoted herself to the growth and development of the APC in Yobe State, particularly through her unwavering support for women and grassroots mobilisation.
According to a statement signed by the Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor of Yobe State, Hussaini Maisuleh, the funeral prayer (Salatul Janazah) will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at the Yobe Mosque and Islamic Centre in Damaturu, Yobe State.
The statement prayed for Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings, grant her Aljannatul Firdaus, and give her family, friends and associates the fortitude to bear the loss.
