The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Kano State Branch, has elected a new executive committee to steer the affairs of the association for the 2026–2028 tenure.
The election was conducted during the association’s 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Saturday, August 1.
According to a statement signed by Dr Ibrahim D.M., Dr Abubakar Nagoma Usman emerged as the new Chairman of the association.
Other elected officers are Dr Anas Alhaji Idris as First Vice Chairman, Dr Suraj Shafi’i Umar as Second Vice Chairman, and Dr Nura Hassan Aliyu as Secretary.
Also elected were Dr Sa’adatu Abubakar Sarauta as Deputy Secretary, Dr Aliyu Nura Muhammad as Financial Secretary, Dr Fatima Idris Adamu as Treasurer, Dr Mujahid Sunusi Rabiu as Social and Welfare Officer, and Dr Sunusi Usman Na’ibi as Public Relations Officer.
The statement congratulated the newly elected officials on their emergence and urged them to discharge their responsibilities diligently to advance the association and promote the welfare of its members.
