The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, on Sunday served as Waliyi at the wedding fatiha of Hadiza Uba Maga Yakasai, daughter of the Permanent Secretary, Government House Kano, Hajiya Binta Lawan. The ceremony was held at Umar Bin Khattab Juma’at Mosque in Kano City.
During the solemnization of the marriage, the bride was given in marriage to Ahmad Bello Bichi, who paid a dowry of Three Hundred Thousand Naira (₦300,000) in accordance with Islamic teaching.
The Deputy Governor also attended the wedding fatiha of Abubakar Ibrahim Umar and Fatima Muhammad, held at the Bayero University Kano (Old Site) Juma’at Mosque.
The events were attended by several dignitaries, including the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim; the Chief of Staff, Government House Kano, Dr. Suleiman Sani Wali; members of the two families; and other distinguished guests.
Prayers were offered for Almighty Allah (SWT) to bless the newly married couples with enduring love, peace, mutual understanding, righteous offspring, and a successful marital life founded on Islamic values.
After the wedding ceremonies, the Deputy Governor paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Alhaji Ahmad Maiturare at Kureken Sani Quarters in Kumbotso Local Government Area who died recently.
While consoling the bereaved family, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo expressed his heartfelt sympathy and prayed to Almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, grant him eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus, and bestow patience, strength, and fortitude upon the family to bear the great loss.
